Tribute By Bishop Dr. J.B. and Mrs Persiah Masinde
Deliverance Church International - Umoja
Bishop JB and Mrs. Persiah Masinde and the entire fraternity of Deliverance Church International – Umoja (DCIU) celebrates the life of Rev. Rebecca Nziwa Jagemi (Beckie Baraka) who was an ordained minister of Deliverance Church Kenya. A gallant soldier of the Kingdom of God she impacted lives, communities and the entire body of Christ in Kenya, Africa, Europe and the USA.
Beckie Baraka went into her rest in the presence of the Lord on 1st May, 2021. Her passion and quest were to see many come to the saving knowledge of God. She was a member of the executive committee in the Ladies Ministry, and headed the missions and evangelism ministry. She was a lecturer, academic dean, and later, the Principal of King’s Bible College while working as the Cell Groups pastor and as a member of the DCIU Local Church Council. She was also one of the leaders of Inuka Africa and Salt and Light Ministries International. She has mentored an army of young ladies and ministers during her lifetime.
Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”
Tribute By Bishop Dr. Mark Kariuki
Deliverance Church International
Grace and peace be multiplied to you from our Lord Jesus Christ now and always. 1st of May 2021 is the day that the Lord appointed for Rev. Beckie Baraka to be received into glory. She’s been unwell for quite some time, and in and out of hospital.
As you all know, the pain of parting in death is an indescribable pain, that only God can soothe. The revelation that the departed is in the presence of the Lord and is no longer in pain brings some consolation to us who are born again.
Please take time and pray for Bishop Masinde and the DCI Umoja family. Pray for God’s comfort to Beckie’s family. More details will be communicated later.
